Up for auction is a set of THREE vintage fiberglass seats. These came from the recent local estate sale of an elderly woman, and were in her attic for several decades. I'm sure these are 1950's or 60's era. Two are orange and one is cream color. There are no holes or other signs that these were ever installed or used. They could easily be a Herman Miller design, but have no trade marks or logos anywhere. It looks like these may have been designed to simply snap over a metal or tubular frame.
All three are the same size and measure 17.5" at the widest part of the bottom, and 15.25" wide at the top of the back. The back is scalloped, and is 14 5/8" at the narrowest part. The seat bottom is about 17" deep, front to back. The seat back is about 16.5" high.
One of the orange ones has what looks like a stress crack, as seen in the second pic. It didn't seem to weaken the structure, since the area still cannot be flexed. All show normal scratches and scuffs that you would expect from years of storage and moving. I have not tried to clean or re-polish any of them.
